It’s that time of year again… Open Education Week! This week, all week, schools and organizations all over the world are taking the opportunity to share the latest developments & achievements in Open Education.
More than just Open Educational Resources (OER), Open Education (OE) is a broader approach to teaching and learning that foregrounds participatory practices in education and breaks down some of the barriers that make knowledge less accessible to learners. It does not remove academic rigor, or challenges, it simply removes barriers to access. OE is learner-centric and inclusive.
To see what kind of free, public events are being held all over the internet, all week, head over to the official OE Week site: https://oeweek.oeglobal.org/ and check out the calendar. You will find all manner of workshops, webinars, and other fun stuff to check out.
