Mother’s Day is coming up this weekend, so don’t forget to let your mom, grandma, or other important women in your life know that you appreciate them! This tradition dates back to the late 19th century. After efforts to establish the holiday by Anna Jarvis and others, the celebration of Mother’s Day was made official in 1914 by a proclamation by President Woodrow Wilson.
