iPads availble for check-out!

iPads have officially landed at Touro College Libraries!  And the best part? You can use your Touro ID card to check out an iPad just as you would a book, from the collections at the Bay Shore, Midtown, and Midwood locations.

Feel free to sync with your iTunes account, however, be aware the device’s memory will be wiped upon return, so make sure to sync purchased apps with your personal computer or iCloud.  Take a look at the iPad Loan Policy for a detailed breakdown of the specifics.

Access the Touro College Library resources from anywhere with an iPad!  It can function as an e-reader for the wealth of e-books available in our collections; a communication and social media tool to stay connected and informed with InstagramFacebook or Twitter; a portable research portal to search the databases and access course specific LibGuides; a storage device and place to organize assignments; even a place to stream movies and music!

The Women’s Building also has iPads but unlike the other campuses our iPads can only be borrowed for the day. We sometimes have whole class groups come down and borrow iPads for the days lesson. It’s a really great and interesting tool for students to use.
