With 2015 in full swing, ease into the spring semester by checking out some of the newest additions to the Touro College Library collection.

Almost monthly, new books, eBooks, audio books, journals, dvds, etc. are added to the Touro Library system for use by students, professors, and staff.  Each item is carefully selected based on the needs of each campus library to support the programs held at each site.

This past month, the Bay Shore library received a cart-full of books geared specifically to the health sciences and education programs.

PA students will be happy to find the 5th edition of the Physician Assistant Exam Review Book from the Pearls of Wisdom Series and Netter’s 2014 edition of Atlas of Human Anatomy. Ask a librarian for help reserving either title. (Note that reserve items do not circulate, but may be check out for in-library use for periods of three hours).

Physical Therapy Case Files, Neurological Rehabilitation contains over 31 acute care cases with review questions focused on both classroom and clinical questions, to help PT students prepare for the NPTE exam.

Updated versions of many texts surrounding trends in education including literacy, inclusion, and the common core have also been added to the circulating collection here at Bay Shore.  Newer additions include Best Practices in Literacy Instruction, Designing Critical Literacy Education through Critical Discourse Analysis (ebook copy also available) and Promoting Social Skills in the Inclusive Classroom.

Enjoy our newest additions to the collection from off campus as well by searching the eBook databases and take advantage of the BrowZine app to view some of the latest issues of scholarly journals available through Touro College Libraries on your mobile devices!
